We had the swallow study. It came back abnormal. Of course, it couldnt be perfect. Not sure what our solution is right now, but we have some choices. 1) Try a clinical trial of thickened liquids, of different consistencies. 2) Putting a scope down his nose, while awake, to see what happens with the liquids. He is not aspirating while it goes down, but the swallow study doesnt show if his reflux causes it to come back up to aspirate. So we may also do a PH study to see how bad his reflux is. We may be possibly looking at a fundoplication down the road. Hopefully not but it has been mentioned. We also are doing another broncoscopy on him September 14th. We go do pre op stuff the 31st and go talk to anesthesiologist to decide how we will put him under since last time it was really hard on him. So hopefully we figure out something soon with that mess. ON A GOOOD NOTE we had an ultrasound of his heart and it looked awesome! Good news finally!
We have been super busy lately with all kind of crazy things. Im now doing 35 hours of school a week, and all these crazy appointments. Gabby will start school next week and I Can not believe my sweet baby girl will be in 1st grade. I know I will cry like a baby just like preschool and kindergarten.
Still dreading this fall and I Really hope we get some options and answers before Kaesyn gets his first cold!!
