We went to get his history and physical done. The NP sort of explained his sleep study results to me. She said that his o2 levels didnt desat. Maybe thats because he didnt sleep but a few minutes here and there?!! (PRETTY SURE THATS WHY!) Anyway, what it did determine is Kaesyn has Periodic Leg movement disorder. Which is where his legs move uncontrollably. Apparently this is because he has low iron levels. Which is fine and treatable, with iron. However, why is his iron low when he is on vitamins daily, WITH IRON. And we do toddler formula, sooo why oh whyy are his iron levels low? Who knows. I have not heard from anyone yet about that issue, so I will be calling soon. We still havent heard back from his swallow study yet either. Guess its not that big of an emergency, which is good!
We did a hearing test, since he has been really acting out as far as not being able to communicate lately. They came back fine, and suggested we see a behavior specialists to rule out autism. WHAT?! Just another thing on the list. Just another thing. We then went to the pre-op clinic. His o2 levels were low. Not extrememly low but low enough to make you go Hmmm. We then went in and discussed what will happen during his bronc, and what we expect. That is scheduled for next Tuesday. I really wish I had somebody to go with me, but I dont think I will find anyone, however, Kaesyns Tiny-K therapist will come with me, but we are not sure yet. She would meet me at CMH which would be perfect, considering we are not sure if he will be staying or not. We expect things to go great, but we arent totally sure because last time he had such a hard time. We will see!!! Hopefully this bronc tells us some of what this fall/winter (that are coming up soooo fast) will hold for us! We then went to lab to have blood drawn, which should be something this poor boy is used to, but it always just as bad as the first time for the both of us. It breaks my heart that my son has to have so much blood taken and so many needles in his small body over and over again.
There is a quick update, hopefully next Tuesday Ill have more to leave! I want to thank all of you for being so supportive, and always encouraging me to have so much hope!!
