Kaesyn has been doing great lately. He is still very congested. We bought a pulse ox meter the other day, and when I went to check his ox level, it came up ass 88% which sounded crazy to me. I called our Drs office, to see if maybe we could compare ours and theres when we did so they showed the same thing, it was 93-94%. I like to see it higher, of course, but thats better than usual, so I didnt freak out. When we were there all the nurses were worried about the way he sounded so they said to get him in ASAP. Well our family Doc wasnt there, but her PA was in, who I adore, she sees us more than our regular Dr, so I dont mind seeing her at all. But the nurses came back saying the PA doesnt want to be a third party involved, (which upset me, she has always been involved) Im not sure if she thinks I may be crazy and doesnt want to deal with me anymore, I have no idea but it really confused me!! Anyways so we went to see our Regular family DR Tuesday morning, she says she doesnt recommend the Pulse ox machine because its never accurate, and that her nurses have a hard time using it, well I am very aware of that because I am constantly showing the nurses how to put it on his toe. She watched the video of Kaesyns coughing attack and said she understands why it would scare me. We did the chest xray to see if the infiltrates were still in his right lung. I called Wednesday, and talked to another nurse I ahd never talked to and all she said was "the chest xray came out abnormal". He started running a fever that night, which was odd cause it would jump from 99.5- 102 off and on within minutes. I waited through the night and yesterday when the lowest it would get was 99.5 or so with tylenol I started to panic a little bit. I didnt want to take him to the DR cause I know all they would say is continue tylenol/motrin and his breathing treatments blah blah blah. At about 7pm, i get a phone call from MY drs nurse, informing me (since they didnt know i had already called) about Kaesyns xray. and said the 'pneumonia" is gone (they consider the infiltrates pneumonia for some reason) but he now hes a "viral bronchial infection which with this fever it makes perfect sense... However now i am all sorts of confused. The infiltrates that have been there for most of his life are gone, but yet it just so happens we do a chest xray and it shows up as bronchitis in the same exact spot he had the infiltrates. How exactly do they know which is which? On an xray evrything is white.. or black....soo wouldnt the bronchitis show up like the infiltrates? I really wish that they would show me the xrays, and point out the difference. I would also like them to do blood work on Kaesyn, to make sure everything is fine with that. I know its miserable for them, and I dont want to see kaesyn miserable but him and i both pulled through the upper GI, i cant imagine drawing some blood could be any worse than that... My DR prescribed me xanax to get through all of this...I hate taking pills, especially XANAX.. I did however take one last night and it did nothing, I was still panicky, still on edge, but she wants me to try it a little longer, I dont have a little longer, Im not sure how anyone thinks that going through this is ok. Yes, i realize there are more sick kids out there, but who is to say, they didnt start out like Kaesyn....if you google infiltrates in chest xrays .. you get a long of cancer coming up. I doubt its that, but what if it is? what if he has something that could have been takin care of a few months ago, but itll be too late by the time they figure it all out. I am doing what I can, why cant they?????? Anyways i am done ranting. If anyone knows about the whole difference in the infiltrats/bronchitis xray thing I mention, please explain so itll make a little more sense to me!!!
